Use of sow farrowing bed: The farrowing pen is a pen specially designed for sow farrowing and suckling piglets.

The role of sow farrowing bed:

1. It can protect piglets and stop being crushed to death by sows;

2. It can provide a microclimate and microenvironment of about 30°C for newborn piglets;

3. It can provide good hygienic conditions, prevent the accumulation and reproduction of live animals, and reduce the disease of piglets;

4. Easy to manage sows and piglets.

Instructions for use of sow farrowing bed:

1. Open the back door of the sow limiter and drive the sow into the limiter;

2. The position of the limit frame is adjusted according to the size of the sow, so that the sow has room for movement in the limit frame and cannot crush the back door;

3. When weaning, open the front door to let the sows out, and transfer the weaned piglets to the nursery pen, clean the empty pen, and enter the pigs one week later.

Precautions for using sow farrowing bed:

Most adult sows weigh 500-600 kg, and the trotters have a small landing area, which can generate high ground pressure on the manure board. Therefore, the dung leaking mesh in the isolation frame can withstand a lot of pressure. Cribs outside the pens can use less strong slats as they are the piglets' movement area. For example, plastic leaking dung boards are fine.
